Mornington Peninsula Wedding Photographer
The Mornington Peninsula is one of the few places near Melbourne where you can photograph vineyards and the sea on the same afternoon. Cool-climate wineries, rolling green hinterland and rugged back beaches all sit within a short drive of one another — and we have photographed weddings right across the region, so we know how to use every part of it.
Two landscapes, one afternoon
What makes the peninsula special is the variety. In a single portrait session we can take you from rows of vines glowing in the late sun to a windswept beach with the bay behind you. We will guide you to the light:
- The wineries at golden hour. The peninsula cool-climate estates give you those classic vineyard rows, and the hour before sunset is when they turn gold. We watch the light all day and pull you out at exactly the right moment.
- The coast and back beaches. The southern beaches bring drama — open sky, sand and surf — for portraits you cannot get inland. We work with the tide and the wind as much as the light.
- The green hinterland. Between the vines and the coast, the rolling hills and tree-lined lanes give you softer, more intimate frames close to your venue.
We plan around the drive
The Mornington Peninsula is roughly an hour to an hour and a half from central Melbourne, and further again to the southern tip. That drive matters for your timeline — it changes when we need to start, how we move between a winery and the coast, and how much of that beautiful end-of-day light we can actually use. We plan your day around it so nothing feels rushed and you still get the sunset portraits.
A plan for the weather
Coastal weather turns quickly, and a wedding day does not wait for it. Part of our job is knowing the sheltered options — cellar-door interiors, covered terraces, verandahs — before the day, so a passing shower or a strong sea breeze never costs you your portraits. We have shot in every kind of peninsula weather and we come prepared.
One team for photos and film
The peninsula is made for film as much as photography — the vines, the coastline, the space. Around nine in ten of our couples book photography and videography together, so you get both in one consistent style, from one team that already knows your timeline. There are no travel charges to the Mornington Peninsula or anywhere in Victoria.
